Bringing hope for deprived children

Over The Wall

Over The Wall is a national UK children's charity that provides free of charge therapeutic recreation camps to help children with life-limiting illnesses, and their families, reach beyond the perceived limitations of illness and rediscover a whole new world of possibilities.

Over the past 4 years Over The Wall has welcomed 82 campers from Bucks, Herts, Berks and Oxon and they hope to welcome many more this year. Through participation in a proven program of fun-filled recreational and educational activities, their camps help to promote inclusion whilst developing the confidence, relationships, self esteem and coping strategies of all the campers.

Over The Wall provide week long camps for seriously ill children, alongside week long camps for their siblings. Weekend camps are also provided for the whole family unit who have been struggling with the pervasive difficulties that arise from serious illness in children. Over The Wall caters for over 100 different illnesses and medical care and support is provided at every camp. The camps offer a wide range of social, creative and physical activities and are carefully designed to enable every single child to participate.
